Tracking download as Events in Google Analytics was created by cazzani
It would be very useful to be able to track downloads also as Events defined in Google Analytics.
Is there any way to set up Edocman to do that? I would really appreciate such a feature.

Hi Stefano
At the moment, that feature is not supported. I think I will need to do some research on Google Analytics to see how we can track the downloads. Will try to find out and add support for this feature ASAP .

Thanks Tuan.
On other sites where I manually insert download links, I track them using Google Analytics appending an OnClick event to the <a> tag like this:
]<a href="url_of_the_file_to_download" onClick="_gaq.push();">Download file</a>
Such a scheme supported by EDocman would be great and it would clearly be useful in many projects.
I hope you will find the time to implement it in a future release.
