module to display documents in a category was created by tnrglobal
I am moving over from docman, and I need to display the latest document in a category as a link in module. I could do this with docman's mod_docman_lister module. Is there an option for this in edocman?

Yes. You can do that from EDocman Documents module (choose latest documents in the module parameter, enter ID of category you want to display documents from in the module parameter, too) .

Thank you. I have set that up. Next question - I have the module parameters set to 'Link to Download Document' - but when someone clicks on the link for the pdf, they are instead sent to a page like this:
File Name: June 2012.pdf
File Size: 2.91 MB
File Type: application/pdf
Hits: 0 Hits

The same thing happens when I have a link to a document in any article.

I changed the permissions so that visitors can download, and the module now works. But any link to edocman files in an article brings me to a document page before i can click on the download button. i want people to be able to click on the link in the article and go direct to download.

Can you tell me how to make the links to edocman files in articles go direct to save or open a pdf, instead of bringing me to a file info page first?

Hi
You can simply go to Extensions -> Plugins manager, find the EDocman Document Link plugin, click on it to edit the plugin. In the plugin parameter, please set Link Type parameter to Add Link to Download Document. After that, please re-insert the link and It will work as expected .
Regards,
Tuan
