How do I get a list of all categories? was created by Clancy Fort
I can create a menu item for any of the categories I have in the system. However, I can't create a link to see all of the categories. Is there a way to do this? I'm looking for a component homepage link.
Any ideas would be great. I am reluctant to create a master category because it kills my permissions.
Thanks in advance.

Hi
Did you try to create menu item to link to Categories List view of EDocman ? I believe that kind of view will meet your requirement.
Regards,
Tuan

Yes, however it wants a specific Category. There is no all choice.

You could create a Parent Category called "ALL"
Then nest all your other categories underneath that.
This should do what you want.

Tried that and it messed up all of the permission settings for this configuration which is very specific to the user.

Hi Clancy
Did you try the solution I mentioned before :
When you create a menu item to link to Categories List view of EDocman, in the menu parameter, it will ask for a parent category. If you choose a category from the dropdown, the system will display all children categories of that category. However, in this case, you don't need to choose a category from the dropdown and the system will display all categories. I believe it will meets your need in this case.

Tuan
