Ordering of documents

Hi I have been asked to order the documents with the newest release always going to the top of the document list.
How do i do this?
In the CATEGORIES VIEW of the configuration settings, we currently we have the on-page ordering on and set to date and desc.
I was hoping this would set the default to date desc on pages when it's refreshed.

But it doesn't seem to be doing this.
Are there other settings?

What version of the extension you are using ? The setting is correct and It should work as expected. Could you submit a support ticket sending me administrator account of your site so that I can have a quick look at it ?

Hi, I have a request to sort documents in reverse order, but just for one category - is that posible?

Unfortunately, it is not possible . You will have to customize code to have it working like that . In case you know php/joomla programming, you can look at the file components/com_edocman/models/category.php, look at function _buildContentOrderBy and customize it to make the document ordered in the way you want.
