User IDs vs User List

In the Document set-up page would it be possible to pick user(s) from a drop-down list rather than typing in user IDs? I assume this would have to be done through a customization.

Right now, it is not possible. Picking user from a dropdown list of users is not good because when you have many users in your system, you won't be able to find them from a dropdown. So I believe we should add a "look up" button next to the input. Click on this button will open a popup allows you to search for users and add them to the list. Will consider adding this feature into the next release .
