File types/file links was created by Harald
Example
aller-ursprung.de/index.php/downloads/do...den/viewdocument/453
Hello support, I did not find a solution yet in the component nor in the forum.
Offering on my homepage a lot of PDF-documents in the component works perfectly fine, but the produced link does not show the file type *.pdf (example shown above). It seems search engines do not find the documents....
What can be done? Thanks for any hint...

Hi,
Thank you for your message.
Search engines typically do not rely on the ".pdf" extension in SEF (Search Engine Friendly) URLs to index documents. Instead, they read the meta tags and content of the document detail page to understand and include it in search results.
As long as the document detail pages are accessible and properly structured with relevant titles and descriptions, search engines will still be able to index and display them effectively—even without the ".pdf" in the link.
Best regards,
Dam
