Youtube or Vimeo videos in a modal window was created by Lorenzo
Hi,
it would be nice to have the ability to display Youtube or Vimeo videos directly in a modal window when inserting file URL related to a Youtube or Vimeo video.
Recently you updated Edocman by adding this feature for images, it would be nice to find this feature also for Youtube or Vimeo videos.
I realize that Edocman has a lot of interesting features, but sometimes lacks features that nowadays are considered basic ...
Please consider this feature in your next update, thanks.

Hi Lorenzo,
Edocman supports "Document View url", so when user enter the Youtube or Vimeo links in that field for documents, you want Edocman will show the Video in modal box, right?
Thanks

Hi Dam,
indeed this option is activated, but we are redirected to YouTube or Vimeo website.
Yes, ideally it would be better to remain on the website where eDocman is installed and display the video in a modal box.
Thanks,
Lorenzo

Hi Lorenzo,
I've just uploaded the change into your site, now, if you add Youtube embed link in "Document View Link", the Video will be shown in modal popup
Thanks

Hi Dam,
thanks for fixing this, it's a good news, but I noticed an error, if a file is not associated with the document, the modal box is not displayed.

Hi Lorenzo,
You need to upload/select one existing physical file for document. The "View" function is just an extra part in Document management
Thanks
