Joomla update mechanism was created by VIL
Whenever I get a notice that there is a new version of edocman, when I use the update mechanism in Joomla it fails saying I need to download it manually. This makes things unnecessary complicated and time consuming. It would be nice if this could get fixed.
Furthermore it would be nice to include the xtd plugin. I have to install this every time as well.

Hi,
To update extension from Back-end side, you should register a Download ID from this page: www.joomdonation.com/download-ids.html and enter it in Edocman Configuration.
And then, you should publish the Joomla installer plugin: Edocman - Update package.
After that, you will able to upgrade extension from Back-end side.
Thanks
Dam
