User Group Access

Is there any way such that, we can set it up in a way that, a given usergroup or access level can download all the paid documents, and other usergroups will need to purchase it?

You can control that. Edit the document, there is a section called Members Discount Setting. You can choose to give 100% discount for the user groups you want and then user from these groups can just download these documents without having to pay for it

Yeah, that's what I saw as well. But since we have 1000s of documents, is there any easier way? may be, editing a group instead and telling the system to allow that group access to all documents?

I guess you can configure it for a document. Then we can help writing a script to update that same settings for all other documents

Thanks. If that is the only way, then, I shall try to do the same through mysql changes. Thanks for looking into it though. I hope this could be added as a feature wishlist item for future development. Having that parameter at the category level would be a lot useful, I think.

The setting under each document, make it more flexible . It was a global configuration before, but I decided to make it per document sometime ago

So for now, please use the SQL approach as described
