It appears DMS breaks Advanced Module Manager

After installing Documents Seller, I noticed Regular Labs Advanced Module Manager went MIA. I went to disable DMS to see if it would bring the module manager back, and there is a file there with instructions 'Do not unpublish'. Every waning light on my mental caution panel was suddenly flashing red.  I had to revert the site to a pre-DMS version, and I am doubtful I can use it.

That's strange to me. Are you using latest version of DMS ? If you use latest version and got the error, submit a support ticket so that I can check directly on your site to see what's wrong here and get it sorted

The 'do not unpublish' means I can't go forward with it. Version used was dms_7.1.2, Joomla 5.1.1

That plugin should not be disabled. I don't understand why you cannot use it?

What I can't won't use is a component with one file that is labeled 'IMPORTANT - do not unpublish'. That strikes me as creating a dependency that might break something in a few years time.

But in another post it looks like you have made some other fixes I was asking for, so we are good

The plugins Documents Seller - System is used to generate invoice number, update number of time a coupon is used when the order completed

So it is required for Documents Seller to work properly (in case you use invoice and coupon feature). It is only required for Documents Seller, not for other extensions. So other extensions on your site is independent with that plugin, only Documents Seller needs that plugin enabled
