Upgrade to version 2.6.1 was created by DannyS
I have just received the email telling me to upgrade to this new version with a security fix for PayPal. What I can't figure out is after logging into you site whether I'm looking for a free upgrade or have to pay again.

I've created an new account with the same email as the one use in PayPal an I've access to the last version from menu CUSTOMER AREA->Order History
My problem is that after download, I tried to unzip file and I got error saying that the file is corrupted
I tried a second time to download file and I got same error.
For your upgrade you say that we have to uninstall previouse version and install the new one
Does it means that we will lose all data???
Do we have to reconfigure all date???
Regards,
Joël

And in addition to this, you say that it would be a good idea to back up language - which file is that? And how do I preserve the modified messages?

I opened a ticket and received the zip file by email and this one is Ok.
I don't know why they say that we have to uninstall previous version.
Changes between com_dms 2.6.0 and 2.6.1 are very minors.
I got a problem in back-end. I had to remove a call to Helper::DisplayCopyright to fix the problem.

A changelog would be very helpful to those of us that have modified the original code.

Hi
From next version, I will try to make the upgrade process simpler (by uploading patches files, like how we upgrade Joomla site) .
Thanks,
Tuan

Did you try to put in the xml file something like: <install version="1.5" type="..." method="upgrade"> ?
That should be enough to make our life easier
My 2 cents...
