Paypal update? was created by Lisa Norman
Just got this on another site using your plugins. I'm very concerned about the sites that I have running on Document Seller. Will we be okay?
PayPal is upgrading the certificate for www.paypal.com to SHA-256. This endpoint is also used by merchants using the Instant Payment Notification (IPN) product.
This upgrade is scheduled for 9/30/2015; however, we may need to change this date on short notice to you to align to the industry security standard.

Hi,
In document: www.paypal-knowledge.com/infocenter/inde...nd=true&locale=en_US
See table in section "PayPal Rollout Dates by Environment and Endpoint".
It is mentionned that sanbox is completed ( www.sandbox.paypal.com ).
So, we are able to test new SHA256.
So, on my development test site (not production), from back-end, in Document Seller, tab Payment Plugin, os_paypal, I changed:
Paypal Mode: Test Mode
Paypal Email: <email address facilitator from PayPal sanbox account>
Save
Then I did a payment test from front-end using email/password "buyer" given in PayPal sanbox account.
It works fine. So, I hope it should be Ok on my side.
To make the test, you have to create a sanbox account here:
developer.paypal.com/developer/accounts/
I hope this help.
Regards,
Joël

II have the Paypal extension version 1.0 in my DMS version 3.5, in Joomla
3.4.4. It uses IPN to complete the 'round trip' purchase.
It has worked flawlessly, but recently Paypal have upgraded their
certificate to SHA-256 bit and it has ground to a halt - the payments appear complete in the back-end but no transaction takes place!
Here are two links they sent :
www.paypal-knowledge.com/resources/sites....K.%20English%29.pdf
www.paypal-knowledge.com/infocenter/inde...nd=true&locale=en_US
Can anyone help with an upgrade of the Paypal payment plugin? Or some pointers?
