"Purchase" with coupon gets lost

My client wants to sell documents for $X but also wants certain people to be able to download the documents for free. I created a coupon code for $X, which works great in the cart, reducing the total to $0, but when the order is "Processed" neither the Administrator is notified of the "sale" nor is the purchaser notified with an email containing a download link.

Please login to your account, access to Your Orders menu item to download the latest version and re-install it on your site . After that, the issue will be solved .
