Problem with foreign charactes

I am experiencing a problem with displaying foreign letters in the document descriptions, more specifically the Croatian letters čČžŽĐđ. I do not have any problems with them in other areas of the website, such as regular articles and other extensions. Please advise.

You can see the problem in the details view, some characters are displayed as "?"

Should I assume that the problem cannot be solved?

Nevermind, fixed it myself. Solution is to change the encoding of the 'description' field directly into the MySQL database, in case somebody else is experiencing a similar problem.
