Pay Later option not sending confirmation email

I am using the Pay Later option, which does send the first email to say the order has been received. But once we've received payment and have published the order, no notification email is going to the buyer with the download link. Is there a setting to makes this happen that I have overlooked?

The email with the download link works for the Paypal option, it is just the Pay Later option where it doesn't happen. Means we have to manually send an email to the client and ask them to login and look in their Order History area to download the files - which makes having an automated system rather pointless.

Checked it on the client site and saw that the email was sent . Maybe there was a problem with the mail server at the time client tried to test the component .
