Purchase Documents - Registered was created by Jun Paglin
Just upgraded version to 2.5.4. I have set up my configuration under "Purchase Documents" to "registered". Am assuming that this control is to disable capability of visitors to purchase documents unless they are logged in as registered users. However, even with this control set to registered, any visitor can still place an order. Is there a setting somewhere that I am missing? Any assistance will be much appreciated!

I think I found the loophole. Even if you have the option to only allow registered users to purchase a document, if a user navigates to mysite.com/add_to_cart/2-mydocument.html , it will allow the user to purchase the item even though they are not registered. I had some links on my site that linked to this, allowing unregistered downloads.

When a user navigates to the add_to_cart link it should prompt the user to either login or register in order to purchase the item. Following the design of your component you might have a custom message to allow users to write their own message or put links to their own login or register pages. But the default should be something like:
Code:
Please <a href='index.php?option=com_user&view=login>login</a> or <a href='index.php?option=com_user&view=register>register</a> to download this item.

I have the opposite problem.

I want any visitor to be able to download documents but despite every effort it always asks to login even to display document description.

I setted almost everything on public (except a couple of features that displays error messages, like tag modules and the cart).
Any idea?

Thanks,
Giulia.
