flash in documents

is it possible to embed a flash swf file in DMS documents? I've tried but the code gets stripped. It doesn't get stripped in my joomla articles so i know it's not an editor issue.

Joomla remove the embeded flash code by default. Please submit a support ticket giving me administrator account of your site so that I can modify the code alitle for you to get the issue fixed !

Ok I found a solution. Hope this helps someone else too. I installed the allvideos plugin then I can use syntax like this in my DMS document.. {swf}my_swf_name{/swf} that's it! Just make sure you create a folder named videos in your images folder and places your swf or movie files in it. create and audios folder for audio. I probably don't need to say this but remember to enable the plugin

you can embed movies from youtube or locally on your server even audio files.

Basically, you can use any plugins for Joomla in the description field of Document as if it is Joomla articles. So you can embed an image gallery for example (using a Joomla gallery plugin), embed an video using allvideos plugin....
