How to Upgrade from J1.5 to J1.7?

The J1.7 version installs fine and works OK. But it seems my data from the previous site is now gone. I thought JUpgrade preserved the tables. Does anyone know differently?

In any case, how can I restore my J1.5 DMS data? Any directions or suggestion?

I think JUpgrade doesn't migrate the tables for you (it only migrate database tables for Joomla core extensions). In this case, please export all database tables related to DMS (via Phpmyadmin) from old site (tables with _dms_ prefix) and import it to the database of your new site .

I am sorry to but in on this thread, but I would like to know if it is possible to migrate Event Booking from Joomla 1.5 to 1.6 the same way, i.e. to export/import the relevant database tables?

Yes, the same method can be used for Event Booking (and all of my other extensions)
