Paypal user experience was created by vccampbell
I am using the PayPal payment processor in Test mode. In the sandbox, I receive the receipt saying I sent money, but I don't get the email where I can retrieve my documents I purchased. Is this a limitation of the PayPal sandbox or some other configuration problem I'm experiencing. Also, after payment is processed by PayPal, is the user not redirected to my site with a confirmation? I am used to having to enter my PayPal API keys when using PayPal, in this case I only have to specify my email address. How is this different than using the API?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Hi vccampbell
The extension works fine on both test mode and live mode. Maybe Paypal IPN cannot reach your site to notify the extension about the payment, so the order status cannot be updated and no email sending to you . The reasons might be :
- Your site is on a local server.
- Your site on a live server but set to offline mode .
- Your site install one of the following extensions : RS Firewall, AdminTools pro.....
- Your server require authentication before users can access to your site .
Can you please check and get back to me ?
Regards,
Tuan

Hi Tuan,
Maybe you hit on something with the PayPal IPN. I have not listed any notification URL in my PayPal account. Partly because I didn't realize it was necessary and partly because I don't know the notification URL. What would the URL be?
Regards,
Craig

I am having this same problem and none of the above is true. Any other ideas? J1.7.2 and EB1.4.3
