Edocman 1.8.9 released - Edocman Dropbox plugin V2

The Edocman developer team are proud to announce the release of Edocman 1.8.9. This is a ninth release for the 1.8.x series of Edocman with new improvement and addresses issues introduced in previous versions.

What new in Edocman 1.8.9
1. Improve Edocman Dropbox plugin to work with Dropbox API V2
As Dropbox announced , API v1 is being retired on Thursday, September 28th, 2017.
On this date, API v1 endpoints will return a 400 error with this message: {“error”: “v1_retired”}. This means any integrations or applications still relying on API v1 endpoints may stop working.
From Edocman 1.8.9, we release new version of Edocman Dropbox plugin to work with Dropbox V2.
If you are using old Edocman version (older than 1.8.9) with Dropbox integration. Please upgrade Edocman to version 1.8.9.

2. Add Falang Elements for Edocman
From this version, you can use Edocman with Falang normally. Thus, instead of creating various documents for different languages, you can use Falang to translate content of Edocman Categories, Documents and Licenses. In Edocman package, you will see file: falang_elements.zip, this file contains XML elements of Edocman. You can extract the compressed file and copy XML files to directory:

root > administrator > components > com_falang > contentelements

3. Improve Edocman Category and Document modification layouts



4. Improve Edocman documents module
From this version, this module allow you to setup to open document links in new window or current window.
