16th September 2024 - New version 1.25.9

The Edocman developer team announce the release of Edocman 1.25.9. This is a tenth release for the 1.25.x series of Edocman with new improvements and bugs fixed.

What's new in Edocman 1.25.9
1. Add option to change status of expired documents to archived
Edocman provides new feature to change expired document statuses to archive. If you want to enable this feature, please
- Enabling configure option: Change expired document status to archive
- Publishing plugin:Edocman - Change expired documents status
Then, all expired documents will be changed to archived automatically.

2. Add Owner groups field for categories and improve functionality to inherit category owner
Previously, you just can select Owner users for categories, but from this version, you will able to select Owner groups for categories.


And now, when you enable configure option: Inheritance category owners, both owner groups and owner users of categories will be applied to their documents. And a special point in this new version is when you assign both Owner groups and Owner users for documents and categories, both users in owner groups and owner users will have the same roles (with categories and documents) at frontend side.

3. Improve Bookmark feature
We fix the issue when removing documents out of Bookmark list.

4. Improve "Add document" layouts at frontend side and make them fully responsive
At frontend side, there are 3 "Document modification" layouts
- Full document modification layout
- Simple document layout
- Ajax upload layout
Both of them are improved so they can display well on browsers of different sizes. We also add feature to allow you can search categories in dropdown select list in case your Edocman has a lot of categories

5. Improve Edocman Search functions
We fix the issue on showing Edocman categories based on user's permission in this Search layout

6. Add Category titles column in "My documents" layout
By this way, users can see categories of their documents

7. Fix issue when moving document's categories in the documents list
This is serious issue, previously, when you change document's categories, the documents won't be moved to correct folder, and it is the cause of potential issues with document location. This issue has been fixed in this Edocman version.

8. Fix issue on download function
This is permission issue when downloading document, and it is fixed in this version.
