The Edocman developer team are proud to announce the release of Edocman 1.9.3. This is a fourth release for the 1.9.x series of Edocman with new improvement and addresses issues introduced in previous versions.
Whats new in Edocman 1.9.0
1. Acymailing plugin
This plugin enables you to insert items (one by one or by a selection on one or several categories) from Edocman in your Newsletter. You can also use this plugin to automatically include your newly created (or modified) Edocman items in an Auto-newsletter or a Newsletter. You can search in all your Edocman items and then click on one of the item to include it in your Newsletter.

2. Improve Edocman notification plugin
In new version of plugin, we add configure option to send only published documents.

3. Auto approval field in Edocman categories
As you know, Edocman has configure option to allow new documents to be approved automatically or wait for approval from administrator. It applies for new documents in all categories of Edocman system.
From Edocman 1.9.3, each category will have new field called: Auto Approval. This field allows you to override Edocman configure option for specific category.
It has 3 options:
  • Inherit global configuration - This is default option, and Edocman will use Edocman configure option to apply for new documents
  • Yes - Auto approval
  • No - Wait for approval from administrator
This function creates the flexibility in documents management, specially documents uploaded from front-end side.

Thanks
Dev team

We had a problem with Acymailing which they have fixed. Now they have asked me to re-install all plugins including Edocman. Where can I find this plugin to download?
Kind regards

Will you be adding the ability to subscribe users who download a document to a mailing list? This would be very helpful in contacting those who have downloaded a specific document.

Thanks. It would be useful to have this feature so hopefully it can be added asap.

Interestingly the dashboard says an update is available but I already have 1.9.5 installed. The update notice is still there after reinstalling.

It would be nice if this plugin could have the options to notify based on one or more categories. One the ways we use Edocman is for our competition draws and results which go into a number of different categories. It would be nice if we could use the plugin to notify our users when there are updates just to these particular categories. Or allow users to choose which categories of documents they would like notifications of so something like
Cat A - Yes
Cat B - No
.
.
.
Cat Y - Yes
Cat Z - No
