We are in Canada and plan to sell worldwide, how to set the taxes? was created by Patrick Toulze
We are in Canada and plan to sell worldwide.
In Canada, we have a federal tax (TPS) of 5% in all provinces.
After, each province have their specific tax rates.
It means that each product shipped to any Canadian province will have to include and show to the customer two prices:
1- the price without taxes
2- the final amount (including all taxes) based on their shipping address and Province specific tax rate + the Canadian TPS of 5%
Also, for all international sales (US & others) No taxes are charged by the store.
My questions will be how to set the store to achieve that?

Hello Patrick,
Thank you for submitting the question here. Regarding your question: When you setup the tax rate, you must assign it to a specific Geo Zone. If the internal sales from US and other countries, you don't assign any tax rate to these countries, then there are no tax applied to them.
Sincerely, Giang
