EShop version 5.2.0 released - New Fiona theme added

Today, we are happy to announce the next release of EShop Shopping Cart extension, version 5.2.0 with some new important updates:

1. Add new Fiona theme.

We developed a new theme named Fiona beside of Default theme into the EShop core package. New Fiona theme is very nice, clean and easy for customers to browse the your store and purchase products.
You can look at demo of Fiona theme use default Cassiopeia Joomla 6 template at: demo.joomdonation.com/fionatheme/
To active Fiona theme, please go to EShop -> System -> Configuration -> Layout tab, at Theme, select "Fiona" and Save the Configuration.

2. Modernize code base.

We refactored code of backend list view layout to make it shorter, cleaner, easier to maintain and easier to adapt it to work with future releases of Joomla and also faster for future development.

3. Add new plugins.

- Add Quickpay payment plugin to process payments via Quickpay payment gateway.
- Add Billit plugin to integrate EShop with Billit system.

4. Some other improvements:
- Use completely new sample data.
- EShop Finder plugin improvement: Option to format item name.

Please upgrade EShop to the latest version 5.2.0 to have these new updates.

Hi Giang!

I got an error when trying to update my EShop installation from 5.1.1 to 5.2.0.
(Joomla version is 5.4.2)

Message is not very specific: "Duplicate entry '2' for key 'PRIMARY'"

So I cannot say which table is affected and why.

After the update all pages with eshop components are broken (I think due to the abrupt update)

I have attached you the (German) update section ofter the update try.

P.S.: Of course it's only a test installation copy (as always). So nothing is lost or urgent.

Sounds like this is an outstanding issue. Can you please submit a new ticket to EShop category to send me the super admin account to your site there so I can help you to check and find the reason of issue to resolve it for you.

Now the update works without any problems

The problems with my start page still exists, but I noticed that there are some major changes in views/common/product.php which leads to the error in my product.php: "$showShortDesc = $params->get('show_short_desc', 0);", because I (of course) use the "old" product.php version. When switching to Default or Fiona theme all is fine.
So I have to xhange my overrides to fit into the new environment.

Could you give a list which files in the view have been changed (or are new)?
(so it would be easier to get the own themes running again on the new 5.2.0)

Basically, your own theme is still runing properly on latest EShop. There is only a small issue of your old product.php file as you said. You can submit a new ticket so I can help you to resolve that.

Yes, I tested yesterday and only the start page has crashed.
It's good to hear that only products.php is affected.
Your help to change the file would be great.

You can still use my yesterdays installation from ticket #148126 for that. All passwords etc. are still valid.
