[21 June 2021] EShop version 3.4.0 released

Dear all,

Today, I am happy to announce the next release of EShop Shopping Cart extension, version 3.4.0 which has some big improvements:

1. Compatible with Joomla 4 RC3 and PHP 8 now.

As you maybe knew, Joomla 4 is built as RC3 now and it is rather close to release as stable version, so our team took the time to make EShop works well with Joomla 4 RC3. It is ready for that now.

From this version, EShop also works well with PHP 8. So EShop is compatible with both of latest Joomla 3.x and Joomla 4, both of PHP 7 and PHP 8 now. A really great news for all of EShop's customers.

2. Supports all of Bootstrap versions and UIKIT3.

From this version, EShop supports full of Bootstrap versions (2, 3, 4, 5) and UIKIT3. So you can install and use EShop on any templates which are built with Bootstrap or UIKIT3. Simply go to the Configuration page to select bootstrap version or UIKIT3 to use for your store.

3. Update TCPDF library to the latest version.

EShop uses TCPDF library to generate PDF files (Invoices, download product data to PDF). From version 3.4.0, we updated TCPDF library to the latest version so that it works well with PHP 8 (older version is not compatible with PHP 8 and generates Fatal errors).

4. Layout improvements and bugs fixes.

- Almost of EShop layouts under back-end side and front-end side are adjusted to work well with Bootstrap and UIKIT3. They are also displayed nicely and friendly now.
- Fix the issue with empty required product options on some orders.
- Fix a small issue with comment field in the notification emails.
- Fix a small issue with space between buttons in Products Advanced Search module.

Please update EShop on your site to the latest version to use these big improvements and bugs fixes. Thanks for continue using our products and support our development.

Hi, I get this error after switching multi-lingual eshop 3.4.0 to php 8.0.7:

Thank you for updating EShop and reporting the issue here. It was just a small issue on PHP 8. I just fixed it and updated to the package again. Please download the latest package and update it again to your site, then check again and tell me the results.

Hello there... When you copy a product on the back end, it gives this error:
1054 Unknown column 'product_manage_stock' in 'field list'

Also, it would be great if the search function for Manufacturers in the product list area was brought back. Thanks!

Thank you for reporting this small issue. I just fixed it and updated the fix to the package. Please re-update EShop and it will work well as it should.
