The OS Services Booking developer team are proud to announce the release of OS Services Booking 2.6.6. This is a seventh release for the 2.6.x series of OS Services Booking and addresses issues introduced in previous versions.
What's new in OS Services Booking 2.6.6
1. Add Layout Overridden feature
From version 2.6.6, OS Services Booking supports overridden feature for various layouts of component. The layouts are placed in directory:
root -> components -> com_osservicesbooking -> layouts
There are various layouts:
- List categories
- List services
- List venues
- List employees
- List all items (Venues, Services, Employees)
- Orders history
- Order failure
OS Services Booking has overridden layouts feature. To override above layouts, please follow below steps:
1. Creating folder:
root -> templates -> your_using_template -> html -> com_osservicesbooking
2. Copy layout files into that folder and making modification in copied files. Thus, when you install newer OS Services Booking in future, your modification won't be overridden.

2. Retouch OS Services Booking Configuration page
Instead of showing Yes/No options through drop-down select list as before, we show them in Button groups. By this way, administrator will manage configure options easily.
3. Improve Checkout layout
We modified Checkout layout of OS Services Booking to make the Credit card fields to show properly.
4. Moving JS and CSS files to Media folder
All Javascript and CSS stylesheet files are moved to Joomla media folder. By this way, Search engines will able to index media files of component
5. Remove timezone tooltip
The Timzone tooltip is removed from this version to avoid confusing from customers
6. Other issues fixed
- Confirmation email sending
- Showing Service and Employee tabs when changing dates
