JoomSEF or Basic Joomla SEF URL Support was created by Rob Duncan
There needs to be some way to have SEF URLs without sh404SEF...

Dear Rob,
From version 2.1, OS Property provides the separated Sef urls. It works with Joomla sef mode. And you don't need to have sh404sef in case you want to have sef urls with OS Property.
Remember, the latest version of OS Property is 2.4
Thanks

Thanks, you are right... I updated to the latest version and now have SEF URLs... however, the basic rewrite structure has /component/osproperty/ included in the URL. If I can just remove that, I think it would be great.

Any possibilities?

Hi,
You need to create the menu to OS Property component. If we don't have menu to Joomla component, the system will get the structure component/osproperty in the sef urls
Thanks

I created a menu item to Layout: Front Page... that didn't seem to work.

What is the correct method to create a menu directly to the component if that is not correct?

The current URL for a category page is /component/osproperty/category-name.html

I am looking for an option of either /category-name.html or property-type/category-name.html

Hi,
With category-name, you should create menu to layout: Category listing, the menu will have the format
category-listing/category-name.html
With the property details, you should setup the menu to the layout: Property listing layout and select corresponding property type.
Thanks

I give up, this is not working the way I wanted it to. I purchased sh404 and will begin trying to configure that now.

No worries... much better with sh404sef... I don't know why I didn't just buy it to begin with, I wasn't going to live with the advertisement link on all of my pages from the free JoomSEF extension anyway...

right now I have domain.com/category-name.html, which I can live with. I'd prefer to just have domain.com/category-name/

Is this possible without a major tweak?
