Upgrade offer price was created by Alison
Hi Tuan
We want Student members to be able to upgrade to a Full Member for £39.
However this is for the first year only.
We want them to renew the following year at the full price of £69 (preferably by Stripe recurring payment).
I am not sure how to set up the plan upgrade tab to achieve this.
This is my current set up.
But it shows £39 as the regular sub price and terms on the payment part of the upgrade
We are definitely on the upgrade page
Can you help me to resolve this please.
Thanks
Alison

Hi Alison
What's the price of the student plan? Look like it is a free plan ?

Student plan is £30 for 18 months
But the students do not sign up for it, we sign them up manually.

I'm afraid of there is no way to have it works as you described. If students pay certain money for the student subscription plan, the remaining money from his subscription will be used to deduct from upgrade price.
But in this case, I think they did not pay anything, so nothing will be deducted from the upgrade price, so he will have to pay 39$ for upgrading (the price of the upgrade option)

So if he pays £39 for the upgrade it will be the price that is set for his renewals?
If I set a price of £30 for each student (and the plan) will it work?

- The price of upgrade option should be £69, not £39
- If you set subscription amount for each student to £30, the price of the first year upgrade will still not be 39$. The reason is because the student might has been active for student plan for sometime, so the amount of money left in his subscription is not £30 anymore (each day from the time his subscription created, the amount will be deducted)
But at least it should work better than always be £39
Regards,
Tuan

OK, so we are not able to achieve a senario where if I student upgrades they get a discounted rate for the first year?
Should we then set the upgrade to £69 and give them a coupon code for £30 instead? Then they will then pay only £39.

Yes, that would be the right approach. Remember to set Apply For setting of the coupon to Only First Payment . For the upgrade rule, set Prorated to No

That looks good to me. Could you please try to upgrade, and use the coupon to see if it works ?
