Invoices are showing the old subscription amount was created by Mark Hayden
HI,
A few years ago, we increased the Membership fee from £21.50 to £25.00 . I was not aware until this week, that the invoices are going out at the incorrect amount. So if anyone had a subscription prior to the increase, they get charged the correct rate, but the invoice shows the old amount.
How do I get the legacy subscriptions to reflect the correct price.
Thanks
Mark

Hi Mark
Basically, the system user data from the original/first recurring subscription to send invoices because for renewal subscription, it only receive payment information from payment gateway, is does not know the details payment break down:
- Amount
- Discount Amount
- Tax Amount
- Gross Amount
So prevent this amount issue, you will need to:
- Go to Membership Pro -> Configuration, set Enable Editing Recurring Payment Amount config option to Yes
- Then find the original subscription records of each subscription, edit it and change the recurring payment amount for these subscriptions
That might contains too much work. So if all subscriptions have same amount, maybe you can submit a support ticket and tell me the plan ID, the payment amounts for these subscriptions and I can run a tool to update it for you
Regards,
Tuan

Thanks for the prompt response, I will need to check how big a problem it is right now, I expect it is still 150+ subs.
When we change subs in the future, will this have to be a manual approach ? Or are you developing a process to reflect the new price and make sure the invoice is correct ?
As we have 600+ active subscriptions and rising. This cannot be a manual approach when we have to raise prices.

It should be manually. On renewal, the payment gateway only let us know the payment amount it charges user for the renewal. It does not know about discount, tax... and that's the reason we have to use data from first subscription of the user to show the correct tax amount, discount amount... for the renewal. Otherwise, we could not show these payment amount break down in the invoice, only total payment amount
