Hi-

Group membership for a plan must be for those living in the same household, so I made sure "Populate data from Group Admin" was checked for the ALL the Group admin's contact information, as well as other information which needs to be carried over into the User Manager for the new Group Member. I also have the toggle on to show the fields in the Group Member form so that I can see whether the information gets populated.

Only SOME of the fields show up in the Group Member form on the back end that I have indicated should show up and NONE of them get populated with the Group Admin's information when the "Group" is chosen. The only time the fields get populated is when the Group Member is an existing Joomla user and has the information already recorded or if the fields get populated manually.

Then I decided to NOT show any of the fields in the Group Member form but keep them as "Populate data from Group Admin", except for fields for the new Group Member's user name, First, Last, and email to see if the information gets populated after save. NOTHING gets transferred to the Joomla User Manager except for the fields that are filled out on the form manually.

Am I interpreting "Show in Group Member form" and "Populate data from Group Admin" incorrectly or are these bugs?

Thanks.

Hello

"Populate data from Group Admin" just means that when you add new group member, the data for that field from group admin will be used to pre-fill the field on add group member form. So:

1. You cannot hide these fields as you said

2. As of right now, we only implement that option for adding group members from frontend (group admin of the group add his own member). So that's the reason it is not working when you add group member for a group from backend

Tuan

Okay. How do I set it up so that a Membership Pro admin can add group members from the front end? I do not see any ability under the front end "Manage Subscriptions" to do this. Or is this restricted to the individual Group Admin for the membership?

Thanks.

Hello Karen

From frontend, only group admin of the groups can add members into his group. We do not have an option for administrators of the site to enter group members from frontend. If administrators want to add group members, they will have to do that from administrator area of the site

Tuan

Okay. So to clarify:

1. The information from the Group Admin cannot be transferred on the back end to Group Members when a Membership Pro admin creates an offline group subscription.
2. All the fields do not show up on the back end for Group Members even when indicated to do so.
3. There is no way an admin can manually fill out all the information unless they edit the new Group Member's user information through Joomla's User Manager.

Are there plans for the addition of Group Members on the back end to behave more like what happens on the front end? At least have all the fields show up so the Membership Pro admin doesn't have to go into the User Manager to complete the Group Member's initial profile?

The fields should still being displayed like in the frontend. The only difference is that these fields are not pre-filled by data from group admin account like how it works in the frontend

If fields are not being displayed, there are something wrong here. Please submit a support ticket sending me super admin account so that I can check your setup to see what's wrong and get it sorted

Okay, I will open a ticket. Actually, you are already working on two issues on the same site for me, so you already have a super admin account.
