Split fee into two payments was created by Jaime Landrum
Hello,
I'm working with a client who needs a specific payment plan setup. The subscription should last a total of 3 months, with $300 due initially and another $300 due in 30 days. How would I set this up to make sure the customer isn't charged $300 for the third month?

Hi Tuan,
Thanks for the quick reply.
The total amount due is $600. My client would like to charge his customers twice - one payment of $300 when they initially subscribe to the plan, and one payment of $300 to be processed 30 days after the customer signed up. However, their subscription should be valid for three months total (90 days total from when they signed up).
Does that make sense?
Thanks for the quick reply.

Honestly, I don't know if payment gateway (guess you are using PayPal) support this kind of payment. However, you can try to setup a plan with following information:
1. Subscription Length: 2 months
2. Recurring Subscription: Yes
3. Price: 300$
4. Trial duration 1 month
5. Trial amount: 300$
6. Number Payments: 2
Please configure a plan like that, then check to see whether it works. If not, we have no option to setup a plan as described

Hi Tuan,
Thanks for the help!
Quick question - what's the difference between setting it up as you've described vs this:
1. Subscription length: 2 months
2. Recurring Subscription: Yes
3. Price: $600
4. Trial duration: 0 Days
5. Trial amount: 0
6. Number payments: 2
Thanks again!

With that setup, users will be charged for 1200$ and they will have active subscription for total 4 months (2 payments, each payment for 600$ and have valid subscription for 2 months)
