Membership Plans content plugin was created by Farid Khan
Hi,
I am new to Membership Pro. I downloaded it, installed it and created a few subscription plans which I am displaying in an article using the "Membership Plans content plugin". Everything fine and good. Looks very nice and professional.
But then, when I hit the "Subscribe Now" or "Info" buttons on the form, the subsequent pages don't use the layout of the article in which I embedded the module using the "Membership Plans content plugin". Same thing if I embed it as a module.
Is there a possibility that the subsequent forms use the same article to display the content so that the layout doesn't look broken.
It would also be very nice to be able to embed the User Account Form within an article in order to have a consistent layout.
Is there any possibility of achieving these two things using Membership Pro or some other 3rd party tool, somehow?
Thank you for your help.

Hello Farid
Unfortunately, it is not possible. It is something related to how Joomla works
Basically, when you use content plugin, the component which is used to display that page/layout is Joomla core com_content
When you click on the button to sign up, a different component will be used to render that page com_osmembership
There is no way for that next page to be rendered/displayed within your original article layout as you wish, unfortunately
It is technical issue and not doable (in Joomla and I believe also in other platform, too)
Regards,
Tuan

Hi Tuan,
Thank you very much for your quick response. Well, I suppose that the Membership Plans content plugin and embedding is not the solution. Hmmm, how do I get a consistent layout with Membership Pro?
Thanks once again, Tuan, and have a nice day.

You can create a menu item to display list of subscriptions plans using one of the following menu options in Membership Pro:
1. Plans List Default Layout
2. Plans List Column Layout
3. Pricing table layout
4. Pricing table circle layout
5. Pricing table flat layout
Then check the result and let us know how it goes from there

Tuan

Hi Tuan,
Yes, I have tried out all the layouts, and they are pretty nice and very useful. But, they don't solve my problem. I need to create a subscription process in which the layout doesn't change. So, the subscription process has to obide to the site layout. This could be easily achieved if the the modules and the subsequent forms could be embedded into articles. But, as you said, this can't be done.
So, I will play around a bit and see, whether I find some solution.
Thank you, once again.

OK Farid. I would say that the way you described is not doable (at least in Joomla context). So the best setup I think is display list of plans to allow users to choose to subscribe for as I described in my previous comment

Tuan

Hi Tuan,
I have been playing around a bit more and am now trying to embed the Membership Pro Module called "Membership Pro View" using the "Subscription Form" as View. First of all in this module I don't see any drop-down box in which I could choose the Plan. I suppose, that is how it should work. The same way as it works with the menu option.
When I invoke the Module, which I have embeded in an article, I get the error message OSM_INVALID_MEMBERSHIP_PLAN.
How does this module correctly work? Any idea what the problem could be?
Kind regards,
Farid

Hi Farid
Any additional parameters need to be added to Query String parameter of the module. For your need, enter
id=ID_OF_THE_PLAN_YOU_WANT
Replace ID_OF_THE_PLAN_YOU_WANT with id of the actual plan you want, for example id=1

Hi Tuan,
I gave it a try as you said. I entered id=1 in the Query String field and the form appeared in the article as it should. So, I will go along playing with this possibility. I think that this should solve my problem. I will let you know whether the whole thing worked out as intended.
Thank you very much for your help and have a very nice day.
