Usergroups and components was created by Maico Boumans
Hello,
I want to sell 3 memberships types for a year, lets say: bronze, silver and gold
Within this membership I want to give access to 2 components at the same time, every single component has 3 levels and are defined as such in the joomla usergroups as a child of the registered users so and also in the components itself. So;
Registered
- component 1
- - level 1
- - level 2
- - level 3
- component 2
- - level 1
- - level 2
- - level 3
So I will set up the plans with joomla group intergrations
Bronze: Component 1 level 1 and Component 2 level 1
Silver: Component 1 level 2 and Component 2 level 2
Gold: Component 1 level 3 and Component 2 level 3
When subscription ends:
these groups will be removed
the user will fall back as registered user
My questions
Is this the proper way to set up and will it work like this? Of course given that the components handle this well also..
Is it advisable to let them fall back to registered user or is it better to add an extra layer like "subscriber" under "registered" and let the user fall back as "subscriber"?
Thanks in advance for the answer

Hi
Your setup looks correct to me. Also, you don't need to setup an extra Subscriber group. Just leave subscribers to be assigned back to Registered group when their subscription expired
So far, the description of your setup is OK. Just go with that setup and everything will work well
