Today, I am happy to announce the next release of Membership Pro, version 2.20.0 with the following improvements:
1. Request Payment
This feature allows admin to send payment request for a Pending Subscription record from subscription management. It could be useful in somecase:
- Someone failed to process payment for subscription
- Someone used offline payment method at the beginning, but changed his mind and want to pay online for the subscription
- Admin creates subscription record manually and then send payment request to subscriber
When admin makes payment request, an email will be sent to subscriber with payment link. Subscriber just need to access to that link to process payment for the subscription to become active subscriber.
2. Improve Monthly Recurring Payment
If you have a Monthly recurring subscription plan and want all recurring payments happens on a fixed date in the month (for example, on 15th every month), it's now possible. Just set Payment Day to the day in month you want and it will work OK.
3. Download Member Card From Subscriptions Management
Sometime, you might want to download member card send send it to your members. In this case, just set Show Download Member Card For Admin config option to Yes and the system will allows you to download member card for each subscription record from Subscriptions Management area
4. Integrate with Joomla! Privacy Consent
When a new user subscribe for a subscription plan and accept Privacy Policy, Membership Pro will make that user agrees to Joomla Privacy Consent Automatically so that he won't have to agree to Joomla! Privacy Consent again (when he logins). That would make it less confusing for subscriber (they won't have to accept Privacy two times: one in Membership Pro and one in Joomla core)
5. Option to prevent users to cancel recurring subscription
By default, Membership Pro allow users to cancel his recurring subscription from User Profile. If for some reasons you do not want to allow users to cancel, you can set Enable User Cancel Recurring Subscription config option to No
6. Allow setting more Email Messages under each plan to override global Email Messages
- Subscription Renewal Email Message
- Subscription Upgrade Email Message
- Subscription Upgrade Email Message for Offline Payment
Please update your site to this latest package of Membership Pro to use these nice improvements. Thanks for continue using our products and support our development.

Does this also include a "Complete Payment" for user under his "My Subscriptions" page?
So the user can complete the payment on his own for uncompleted subscriptions?
Otherwise this always require an admin action to request payment.
Thanks!

When a user completes the payment via the "Request Payment" method, he will receive two confirmations emails, correct?
1) Email for completed payment
2) Email for activated subscription
Right? Thanks for the clarification.

In the email, the tags don't work correctly.
For example:
[SUBSCRIPTION_DETAIL]
doesn't get converted, and remains with the text "[SUBSCRIPTION_DETAIL]"
Also, completing payment with this direct link to the payment, does not account for "Recurring" option being enabled for the plan, so the membership will not be recurrent when paid this way.

When the User completes the payment, the Subscription Start Date (and End Date), should be updated to reflect the date of the payment. Currently it still remains the date of the original moment it was created, but it may be a long time in the past (and maybe already expired!)

It looks like you can only download one member at a time, is this correct?
For us, we produce the majority of our member cards at one time during the year so that we can have each card laminated (set in a plastic cover)
It would be nice if we could select more than one at a time. otherwise producing our membership cards is a very labour intensive exercise.
Also from a security point of view it would be nice if you could use a feature you use in Edocman to register how many times a member card (Edocma is file) has been downloaded.
Kind regards
David

Does this also include a "Complete Payment" for user under his "My Subscriptions" page?
=> Yes, but it's not enabled by default. You can go to Membership Pro -> Configuration, set Enable Subscription Payment config option to Yes
When a user completes the payment via the "Request Payment" method, he will receive two confirmations emails, correct?
1) Email for completed payment
2) Email for activated subscription
=> Actually, he will only receive one email. That's the email for completed payment. He won't receive email for activated subscription.
Also, it looks like the [PAYMENT_LINK] is generated with a fixed Itemid of 835, why?
=> You can create a hidden menu item to link to Subscription Payment menu option of Membership Pro. Then the link will use that menu item for Itemid
In the email, the tags don't work correctly
=> Yes, the tag was not supported. I just updated code to support that tag. You can access to My Downloads menu item to download latest package, upgrade it to your site and the tag would work OK
When the User completes the payment, the Subscription Start Date (and End Date), should be updated to reflect the date of the payment. Currently it still remains the date of the original moment it was created, but it may be a long time in the past (and maybe already expired!)
=> Agree. But this is actually quite hard to implement, so I will leave it as how it's for now. Will try to address it in next release (needs to think about it carefully and implement properly)

Currently, we only allow downloading single member card per time. If we support downloading multiple member cards, maybe we will make all of these cards into a single PDF file. Will that works for your need?
