I have been asking for this forever, they do not seem to understand it looks really bad. Maybe now they can make them optional.

Replied by Suzanne Harris on topic Pre-defined amounts explanation - remove sqare brackets
Hi Dam,

Thanks for your reply.

The text that I put in the Joomdonation configuration tab, Pre-defined amounts explanation field, is rendered automatically enclosed by square braces [ ].

My client wants me to remove the square braces. I need assistance to do that.

The text I put in the field (minus quotes):
"Will help a group of students make a positive difference within their school community"

Is rendered like this:
[ Will help a group of students make a positive difference within their school community ]

Please see screenshots of how the text was rendered and the field settings in the Joomdonation configuration.

We just want the option to have only text there no brackets. No one can figure out the purpose of them and they don't look good. If we want brackets we can add them with text ourselves.

Hello, how about a solution for all of us? I am still confused why this is forced upon us when it's clearly not a good look.

It can be done by creating a template override. You have to know how to create those overrides and comfortable editing a php file, but its pretty easy.

Again, why do we need to override this? It serves no purpose and looks bad. I cannot get an explanation from the developer why it's there.
