Editing / Improving error messages

Hi,
When clients make donations sometimes they receive an error about the donation not being processed.
This can be caused by:
- their input being incorrect (credit card details for example)
- an error related to the payment plugins
- or other errors
Mostly our users tend to get errors that simply say 'donation failed' - what can we do to improve the detail provided in error messages to clients?
Could we be notified when clients receive errors and what the errors mean?

I guess we could customise the language file for Joom-Donation to ask users who receive an error to contact us - but it would be great to be able to do more than this.
What do you think?

When a donation failed, we can only display the error message returned by the payment gateway which the donor having, nothing more,

So as you mentioned, editing the language file to instruct users to contact you if needed will be the best way. Notify site admin when donation failed is also good but unfortunately, it is not supported in the extension at the moment.

I am going to try to add support for this feature in future release, but for now, it is not possible !

Yes, a feature to notify admins of errors - or perhaps an error log accessible from within the component - would be a great feature in the future.
