No Campaign Description

Hi,

From my understanding, the campaign description should appear on the Donation Form, when a campaign is selected from the dropdown menu of a jdonation, Donation Form menu item. For some reason my campaign description does not appear. Have I missed something? (I have the latest version of JoomDonation).

Hi Anneke

At the moment, only the message which you configured in Configuration of the extension will be displayed above donation form. It doesn't depend on the campaign you select.

I will think about this usecase and implement it into the extension. Please wait us for few more days.

Thanks for the reply, Tuan. I do find it confusing since this is what your website states under "What's new in Joom Donation 2.0":

"Now , when you create a menu item to link to donation form (one time or recurring), you can choose a campaign at a menu parameter . If one campaign is selected , the campain description will be showed above donation form."

Is this false advertising or am I just misunderstanding something here?

It is not advertisement. When you create a link to donation form and choose the campaign in menu parameter, the description of the campaign will be showed

However, when you change the campaign from campaign dropdown, the description won't be updated.

This does not seem to be working for me

I am linking directly to the campaign but I am seeing the default description.

JD 3.5 on Joomla 3.1.5

I didn't get this working either, but a work around that I did was to type the description of each campaign to a new article and simply place a donation module for each campaign beneath each corresponding article.

Update: We completed the code modification. If you are getting this issue, please send an email to services@joomdoantion.com. We will send the updated version to you. After you confirm that it is working as expected, we will make it public release !
