Problem with recurring payment processing

Hi

I am having with recurring payment processing on our website. When I try to make a recurring payment, I get an empty error message, no details. I am able to successfully make one-time payments. I have logged into my authorize.net account and verified that the recurring payment option is enabled.

BTW I am using JoomDonation 2.7.2 on a Joomla 1.5 site. I installed the component last year but never got it to work properly. Now again there is interest in recurring payment option on our website. So I am trying to get it to work. I need help.

What payment method you are using ? Please submit a support ticket sending me administrator and FTP account of your site so that I can check and solve it for you.

I opened a support ticket but I am yet to get a resolution to my problem. I appreciate a quick resolution.

I am trying to understand why you want to know the payment method.. I setup JoomDonation and activated the Authorize.net plugin. I also made sure the API Login and Subscription ID I entered are correct. I double checked that the recurring option is enabled in my authorize.net account. What else is required? Is there a place I need to pick the payment method is JoomDonation configuration?

I have seen several of your comments on this forum from the past with regards to recurring payment problems, including a recent one. Everytime you request for the site login info. If you have seen the problem so many times, why is it hard to post the solution here.

Hi

I replied you before, not sure you received it or not. I will try to explain it here :

1. Joom Donation does support recurring payments. However, not all of payment plugins come with it support recurring payments.

2. The Authorize.net payment plugin comes with Joom Donation by default support recurring donation as well. However, it uses AIM integration method (customers enter credit card information directly on your site to process donation instead of redirecting to authorize.net).

3. You replied me and mentioned that you are using Authorize.net SIM payment plugin (SIM means server integration method). With the plugin you are using, your customers will be redirected to Authorize.net to process payment. Unfortunately, this payment plugin doesn't support recurring donation and that's the reason the recurring payment does not work on your site.

4. Regarding the issue with recurring donation which someone got before, it causes by some changes in Joomla 2.5 API and I fixed it in the download package (long time ago). So no worry about it !

Thank You. What you stated is in line with my understanding.

I have not changed the Autherize.net plugin that I downloaded. Therefore, when I submit a recurring transaction using the Joom Donation page, I am using the AIM method that you implemented. As I stated earlier, I am using JD 2.7.2 on Joomla 1.5.22 site.

Why is my recurring transaction not going through? Do I have to download the Authorize.net AIM SDK or something?

No, you don't. Just use Built-in Joom Donation extension feature. Do you see any error message after you tried to make recurring donation ?

In this case, I think I will need to check the problem directly on your site. At the moment, I am alitle busy, could you please leave your administrator account and FTP account of your site in the support ticket and I will check it this afternoon. Thank You. I tested with a discover card so far. Apparently our account is not setup for discover card. So it did not go through.
I just tried with a VISA card, and the recurring payment went through.

I will test with a few more transactions and let you know if there is a problem.

It would be great if the error message was more descriptive.
