Create, edit orders invoices from back-end

Indeed, this is a function, which is REALLY essential (and I missed it on the first day I'm trying out EShop

Many times there is a "normal Q/A-correspondence and then the customer syas, OK, I buy this and this...

If you then ask her/him to go to the shop and order there, the connection breaks..., game over!

What's the current status of this feature? The lack of this is really holding me back from implementing Eshop with my clients. It's not flexible enough for webshop owners.

I also received the requirements from several customers.
BUT.
Most orders are paid with credit card. The credit card is charged at the time the order is created. Any subsequent changes to the order would therefore have a financial impact on the payment. Since the credit card is not stored in Eshop (which is correct from a security point of view), any charges or credits in this regard cannot be processed automatically. These would have to be calculated and processed manually, taking into account shipping costs, etc. and taxes.

I can really use this feature too. We've used it for one of our customers, but switched to other webshops because you can't modify orders.

I would like to know if the possibility of manually creating orders has been resolved please?

Like many others on this forum the necessity to manually create orders and edit products in an existing order is essential.

I don't buy into the excuse about customers paying with a credit card etc making it impossible or pointless modifying an existing order. There is no reason why I can't simply send an invoice via PayPal like I currently do.

This, combined with not being able to manually create an order (and select a payment method such as COD, Payment on pick up or sending an invoice) makes eshop too inflexible and this is a deal breaker for me.

I see this was meant to be addressed in "1 or 2 months"....6 months ago.

Is there any status update on this? The lack of this feature now forces me to choose other ecommerce extensions, while I would rather use Eshop.

I don't know if this is of any help but here's what we do when we need to change an order:

1. Go directly into the DB and make the change
2. If the change is significant we create a new order

That's exactly what we're doing at the moment for one of our own webshops, but this isn't a solution that works for our clients. They don't have the knowledge and even if they do, we don't want them to have direct access to the database.
