Event Detail was created by Jim Clementi
I would like Category Description to display as Event Details. Currently only the Description entered at the Event level is visible. Using the Category Description will allow consistency since Events are created by multiple team members. My assumption was that Category information acted as default parameters just like Background Color and Messages do. Is this possible? Did I miss a setting somewhere?

Hi Jim
No, it is not possible. The extension does not display category description on event details page. If we use that description instead of description entered for the event, it will make description displayed on every event is the same, does not make sense
So in case you really need it, you will need to customize layout of event details page to display category description in the way you want

Tuan

Why doesn't it make sense? Having consistency for a specific Category I think is very important. Besides, if someone didn't want to use the Category description they could just not enter one! As an alternative a toggle to "Use Category Description for Events. Y/N" would be a very good solution. You actually implement this same concept with default messaging and the ability to override defaults in both Events Booking and Membership Pro. That's part of what make them awesome! I ask you to reconsider this as an enhancement.

Hi Jim
Category description is used on on different page (categories list and category details page). It was not designed to be displayed on event details page
For years, this is the first time I heard request for this feature. If you believe this is a needed feature, please post your request on this forum joomdonation.com/forum/events-booking-features-wish-list.html to get feedback from customers
If there are more customers need it, I will re-consider adding support for this feature. For the time being, I have no plan to support it, sorry
Regards,
Tuan
