Updating parent doesn't update child Alias

Even though I had "Update children" checked, after changing the title of the parent event and clearing the Alias (to regenerate), it did not correctly update the children aliases with the changed titles. This means that a search filter using the new parent title does NOT show any of the children.

For us, this is affecting about 500-600 event records, which is going to be a pain to fix!

I really need the filter capability because we have to edit and update the child events every week for new Zoom ID values, since they are paid classes.

I would welcome any ideas to get around this issue, but I'm hoping it can also get fixed soon <smile>.

Example:
Repeating event every Tuesday at 5:00 pm for 3 months.

Parent record before and after
original title: "Zoom: Level 1 & 2 TBD1", original alias: ""
new title: "Zoom: Level 1 & 2 Joanne", new alias: "zoom-level-1-2-joanne"

new child alias: "Zoom: Level 1 & 2 TBD1-Tuesday, June 30, 2020 05:00 PM"

I'm unsure if update Alias is a nice idea. There would be problem if you edited Alias of child events before.

So if you really need it, you can submit a support ticket sending me super admin account. I can help with updating the code to have Alias data, but this would be for you only
