French Translations was created by Lionel Charrier
Hi
I have made a few translations but unfortunately I cannot rely on the fact those translation could be accepted and integrated in next releases. Therefore I use the facility of Joomla to override translations.
It is not so easy because of the "Common", "Front" or "Admin" discrimination and therefore I declare both. Note that "Common" does not exist in Joomla.
How can I share what I did ?
The only solution I found is to provide my "Overide translation files "
French I use is a mix of "Pure French" and "Quebec French" when Québecois is clearer than "Pure French" Typically
Thanks

- "Courriel" instead of "Mèl", "Email", "mail"
- "Téléversement" or "Téléchargement" intead of "Téléchargement"
- "Infolettre" instead of "Newsletter"
Thanks

Hi Lionel
You actually does not have to use Joomla language override to override the translation. Just access to Events Booking -> Translation, find and change the text directly from there. It won't be lost when you update to future releases of the extension
Regards,
Tuan

Thanks, that's a better solution.
Of course, I shall not any more install the French language file from "My Download" contained in the "event_booking_unzip_first" file.

Hello,
I'm taking advantage of this topic to share my concern. Some part of the event registration form is still translated into English in the frontend. However, I did check in the 3 parts that each field was correctly translated, which is the case (example: first name).
Is there a step or a place I've missed?
This component is really so great that I'd hate not to be able to have this form in French.
Many thanks for your help (and sorry if the question has already been asked somewhere else)

Hi Julie
For title of the custom fields, please go to Events Booking -> Custom Fields, click on each custom field to edit and change title from there
See docs.joomdonation.com/eventsbooking/basi...one-english-language for more detailed documentation about using Events Booking in none English language
