Couple of Problems was created by insightcreative
Hi

Just installed this today and it generally looks good apart from a couple of problems I've found so far.

1. I've set up an event to recur every 28 days. It shows the first event, but not the subsequent events

2. There is a radio button to choose whether the the event recurs for 'x' occurrences of ends on a certain date. If you set this to occur 12 times, for example, save the event and then edit it again, the radio button is set back to the end of a certain date option.

Can someone throw any light on this please.

Hi Andy

1. I've set up an event to recur every 28 days. It shows the first event, but not the subsequent events

=> I think you did a wrong setup . Maybe you forgot to check on the radio button next to the repeat option (look at the attached image for more detail) .

If you don't might, give me administrator account via support ticket system, I will setup a sample event for you .

2. There is a radio button to choose whether the the event recurs for 'x' occurrences of ends on a certain date. If you set this to occur 12 times, for example, save the event and then edit it again, the radio button is set back to the end of a certain date option.

=> There was a typing misktake in the code and It causes the error. I fixed it and updated download package on the server. Please downlaod the latest version and upgrade to your site, after that, this issue will be fixed .

Regards,

Tuan

Hi

I've tried this but still no go. I've attached an image of my setup and also of June 2011. The event is set for 3rd Mat 2011 and then to recur every month after that.

Hi

What type of recurring events you want to create ?

From the image you attached here, It seems you want to create a recurring events which occurr every month on 3th. This recurring option will finish after 24-5-2012 ? Is that correct ?

Thanks,

Tuan

Yes. The client has loads of events. Some happen weekly, some monthly, some just randomly.

Cheers

Hi

Thanks for that. It's working now. I deleted the event that I created and then added a new one which worked. I think I know what happened. There is a setting for allowing recurring events. I think I enabled that AFTER I created my event and then just added the recurring bit into the event. I didn't realise that it creates separate events.

This is good as they have events that they run on one day during the third week of each month. I guess they could use the recurring events to create the main event and the next 12 events and then just tune the ones where the date falls on a weekend or something.

Looks good to me!

Andy
