Paypal sent a notification was created by Ljupco Pacukovski
Paypal suddenly sent a notification that the notify page is not working
[domain name]/events/index.php?cmd=notify
give a page not found message. Everything was fine before. Has this something to do with the latest update?

Hi Ljupco
That URL is not coming from Events Booking. Maybe you setup that URL manually under PayPal IPN URL of your PayPal account?
Regards,
Tuan

The update does not change anything in PayPal payment plugin. Also, Events Booking does not send that URL to PayPal, so I do not know where that URL comes from unless you configure it as IPN URL under your PayPal account

This is the message I keep receiving from PayPal. Event Booking is sending this URL to Paypal, and when clicked on it, it's a 404 error. There is nothing setup in payPal pointing to the domain, only IPN is enabled:
Please check your server that handles PayPal Instant Payment Notifications (IPN). IPNs sent to the following URL(s) are failing:
www.orakshrine.org/events/index.php?cmd=notify
If you do not recognize this URL, you may be using a service provider that is using IPN on your behalf. Please contact your service provider with the above information. If this problem continues, IPNs may be disabled for your account.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this issue.

As I said, Events Booking does not send this URL to PayPal, so I do not know where it comes from. If you enable PayPal IPN in your PayPal account, PayPal will ask you to enter IPN URL. Maybe you entered the URL there, please check it again
If you still cannot figure out where the URL comes from, I'm afraid of you will need to contact PayPal support and ask them about this issue to know where that URL configured and remove it. Events Booking sends IPN URL to PayPal for each transaction, but the URL is different. It is domain.com/index.php?option=com_eventboo...ent_method=os_paypal ( domain.com/ must be replaced with URL of your site). So the URL you mentioned does not belong to Events Booking
Regards,
Tuan

Do you have a suggestion on the IPN URL in the paypal config? What should it go there?

If you are talking about IPN URL which you need to enter in your PayPal account, then just install URL of your site
domain.com/index.php
Events Booking pass it own URL for each registration and does not depend on that URL above

Tuan

Tuan, I did that, changed the URL, but after the very first registration I got the same message. Here is the message from PayPal in its entirety:

I am not sure why PayPal would be pointed to check that URL which it does not exist.
