Offline Payment option on Free? Event

Hi,

I created an event; the price of the event is free. BUT I have custom fields for the event, that cost money (have fees). When I register for the event, I do not get the opportunity to use offline payment.

Paypal works, but no option to select payment method is available.

An Update to the previous post: Group registration does ask for payment method, but Individual registration Does NOT.

Individual registration forces paypal payment.

In the current version, when you set an event price to 0, the system will think that It is a free event and doesn't display payment method selections . The solution is that we enter the price for event to 0.001 (It won't affect total registration price) and all will works well .

However, It requires small modification to one field in the database table. Could you please send me administrator account of your site via support ticket system so that I can do this modification for you ?

That is not really a good solution. The extension needs to have the flexibility to be able to do this.

You should add the feature to be able to sell extras to the event like an event tshirt or lunch etc.

Can you explain the changes I must make for this to work, so I can do them on my own? I cannot give you full access to our site, it would be against company policy.

I think we will have a solution for this one. We will always display payment method selection if the event has atleast custom fee field. It will need some modification to the code, I will do that on tomorrow morning and let you know when it is done. It will just only takes me one or two hours of coding .

This feature is included in the latest download package already. You just need to download the latest version, then install it again on your site (no need to uninstall the old version anymore) .

Please also back up the following two files before doing the installation :

- components/com_eventbooking/assets/css/style.css (in case you have modified css of the extension)

- language/en-GB/en-GB.com_eventbooking.ini (in case you have changed the language items via Translation function) .
