Event Categories - Messages was created by David Unwin
In Events Booking Categories there is a tab for messages. In these tabs there are messages for User Email Subject and User Email Body along with others such a 1st reminder etc.
I assume these messages will replace the emails in the Message Manager - Messages in EB Configuration for any events in the category where I specify content in these fields. Is this correct?
Also are all the tags in the Message Manager -Messages available in the Category messages?
There is no mention of messages in the documentation for categories

Hi David
Yes. That's correct. Basically, the system will decide message to use with following priority :
1. If the message is setup inside the event, then it will be used (highest priority)
2. Then if the message is setup inside the category, it will be used for all events belong to that category
3. If no message is setup inside event or categories, then the global messages setup in Events Booking -> Emails & Messages will be used
The tags are supported in the same way, not depend on where the message is setup
Hope my answers are clear to you
