Thanks for the speedy response. Unfortunately it doesn't appear to be working. Adding myself to a waiting list still lists the payment status as 'Full Payment'. Also if I open the application the 'Payment Made' field is showing the full amount.
The area that has caused confusion for the booking administrator is the front-end manage events page and the front end edit booking page. The booking administrators thought that applicants had paid for their waiting list applications.
The manage events page looks like this:
If they drill down to the edit registrant page it looks like the booking has been paid:
Our booking people don't have access to the back-end admin so their main overview of the bookings is through the front-end manage events page. To complicate matters a bit more, if someone pays by BACS the booking people don't know if the funds have actually been received unless the treasurer lets them know. To make it easier to spot the BACS payments then perhaps the payment method could be added below the payment status. I could then change the status wording to better reflect the status. So the contents of the Payment Status column might look something like this:
Fully paid Stripe
Fully paid BACS
Deposit paid PayPal
Awaiting payment BACS
Maybe something to consider later.
