Spam Registrations was created by Lance Dyas
The site is getting tons of fake registrants it seems like they are bypassing the form submission requirements so that they put in blank emails for instance even though th field is required.
Any ideas on what we can do?

Hello Lance
Could you please go to Events Booking -> Configuration, find the config option Reduce Registration Process, set it to Yes
Then monitor to see if it solves the issue?

We have to reply on captcha to prevent spam. If the Joomla core recaptcha could not prevent spams, maybe you can try to use one of third party captcha plugin at
extensions.joomla.org/tags/captcha/
(the first one from the list seems to be good)

these are avoiding form checking as well basically they are submitting a form that requires a certain field to be filled but sending blanks as an example or obviously invalid emails -- server side checking of a submitted values based on requirements could also reduce the issue
