Multiple Dates not in Timeline or Category View was created by Inge Brendel
I'm offering the same event at several dates with the "Additional Dates" plugin. So far no problem - in the detail description of the the (parent?)event these dates are listed and can be added to cart.
But I can't see the child events in category view nor in timeline view. Only the first event is shown. That's quite puzzling for customers. What can I do to get all events listed in the timeline?

Hello
Please go to Events Booking -> Configuration, find the config option Show Children Events In Parent Event Detail Page, set it to Yes
After that, check it again. All the events should be displayed on the page

Hello,
Thank you for answering so fast. This option was alread set to 'Yes' and in the Parent Detail Page all events are displayed as they should. That is what I tried to say in the first part of my post.
My problem is different: I would like to know how to display all Children Events in Timeline Layout (Table Layout /Column Layout) too. Here merely the date of the Parent Event is displayed.

Well, I just notice, the answer is to set the config option 'Show Children Events In Parent Event Detail Page' to 'No'. Now all Children Events are displayed in the Timeline Layout (but of course no more in the Parent Event Detail Page... ).
Is there any chance to have both: Children Events displayed in Parent Detail Page and in Timeline Layout?

Hello
That would require code modification. Please try to get this file, unzip it, upload the received file to components/com_eventbooking/themes/default/event folder, then check it again and let us know if it works

Great. Happy to hear that. Please remember to move the modified file to PATH_TO_TEMPLATE/html/com_eventbooking/event folder so that the change won't be lost when you update to future releases of the extension

I am sorry - now another topic has come up: I have created a Multiple Date Event on three dates: 2021-03-10, 2021-05-14, 2021-22-20. So today my parent event already lies in the past. But still the parent event date is displayed e.g. in timeline layout (in the other layouts it is the same). That doesn‘t look really good. I would much prefer here to have displayed the date of nearest child event.
(I chose „Hide past events“ in the configuration file – so in the Parent Event Detail Page actually the parent event date is not displayed.)
I hope the screenshots can give an idea of what I mean.
Can you please give me a hint, which file I have to alter?
Best regards, Inge

Hello
Are you using upcoming events timeline layout menu option? If you use that menu option, the date of next child event should be displayed, not the date of the parent event (which is a past date now)
Regards,
Tuan

Hello Tuan,
Yes, I do. There is a menu item "Führungen Timeline" - the chosen properties you can see in two of the screenshots.
I also created a test menu to see the results for other possible menu options: Columns Layout and Table Layout also display the past date. Striking is, only the Event List Layout displays the next date in the future (see screenshots).
So, what is it that I don't see yet???
Regards, Inge
