Rounding of calculations and dispaly prices

Hi folks,
Is it somehow possible to influence the rounding when calculating prices? My problem is that due to the VAT calculation (net/gross) I often get amounts that do not end smoothly, such as 2499.99 or 2500.01 instead of 2500.

Hello Carsten

By default, the system only allow entering data with two decimal numbers and it might causes the issue

The solution is entering price in more decimal numbers to have more accurate price. To do that:

- Login to administrator area of your site
- Access to this URL: domain.com/administrator/index.php?optio...more_decimal_numbers
(of course domain.com/administrator needs to be replaced with administrator url of your site)

Now, you can setup price, tax rate... in more decimal number and it will address your concern

It most cases, two decimal numbers would be enough. I will add this tool into documentation later. It could be helpful in some cases

Hi Tuan,
sorry to come back on that. It works for a single registration. But as i tested it now with group registration i get the same problem again. The rounding is not correct for the gross. is there another hidden switch for that

I guess you will have to setup price with more decimal numbers until it meets your need (so, an accurate price)

We do not have any other options to support rounding.

So this switch you sent me does not constrain on 3 decimal numbers? I thought i can only use 3 decimals and wondered why it works well with single but not with group registration.

You should be able to setup price up to 8 decimal numbers. Maybe show me a screenshot so that I can check it more details?

Sorry Tuan - i know this is annoying. But i have the problem that in germany everything e-commerce is very restricted and there are all the times lawyers waiting for a shop to make a mistake and then they send you a warning letter and you have to pay several hundred bugs as you just forgot a simply unimportand thing to display or displayed it the wrong way.

Look like group registration rate is rounded to two decimal numbers? it should be 42.017 as you save

I'm unsure why it's not saved as 42.017 (after you run the tool). You can submit a support ticket sending us super admin account of your site and ID of that event

I will check and make sure the group rate is saved properly
